Youth Ministries

Get Fingerprinted! If you are volunteering for our Children's Church Ministry, Awana Club, or our Youth Group and are 18+; you need to be fingerprinted.

To make this easy, we are offering fingerprinting services at SBC on Sunday August 24th from 12pm-2pm. We cover the cost and will have the paperwork available for you to complete on site.

Please take this time to take care of this before our Fall sessions begin!

Support His Mission & Missionaries

The Wong Family is in town from Basque Country and we are hosting a dinner for them on Tuesday, August 12th in REA Hall (SBC) at 5:30pm. All are welcome! Please register below so we can get a good head count. The dinner will be a perfect time to connect with their family and see and hear what God is doing in Basque Country.

Dear Church Family,

I’m excited to share some encouraging news about a ministry that is close to my heart—Peak Women’s Care.

Peak Women’s Care is a Christ-centered nonprofit dedicated to serving women with compassion, support, and practical resources during unplanned pregnancies and beyond. They have been making a powerful impact in our region, and now, we are thrilled to announce that they are opening a new location right here in Truckee, at the former Truckee Gateway Urgent Care building on Donner Pass Road.

We’ve secured the space and are now in the process of raising funds and gathering resources to make it welcoming, functional, and ready to serve women and families in our community.

There are several tenant improvements that need to be completed, and we’re prayerfully asking for your help. Some of the remodel needs include:

• New drywall and patching

• Electrical work

• Plumbing

• Interior and exterior painting

• New flooring

• ADA bathroom construction

• Window replacement

• New cabinets and countertops

• Furnishings and finish work

If you or someone you know is a contractor, tradesperson, or supplier who may be willing to donate time, materials, or offer discounted services, we would be incredibly grateful.

In addition to these physical needs, Peak is also looking for people to serve as volunteer patient advocates and nurses, as well as fill paid staff roles for a receptionist and office manager. CARE NET training will be provided. If you feel led to serve in one of these roles, please reach out by emailing mollie@peakwc.org or calling (530) 562-9313.

Thank you for continuing to support this ministry and for being part of what God is doing in our community through Peak Women’s Care. Your prayers, generosity, and willingness to serve make a lasting difference.

With gratitude,

Betsy Taylor

Pastor Brad and his family have been able to find a great temporary home in Truckee! They are now starting the long and challenging process of rebuilding after their home caught fire

on June 27th.

Thank you so much for your prayers and the amazing support that has poured out. If you would like to give to this family through SBC, use our online giving portal and choose "Noel Family" under the giving options.
