Join Us for Volunteer

Appreciation Sunday

Let's come together on Sunday, February 26th, and recognize our members who've lent their time, energy, and spiritual gifts to the Lord during our morning service.

We also want to bring out our "Sunday best" as part of our Black History Month celebration.

Glide to your favorite seat while wearing elaborate hats, shined shoes, and classic suits like our ancestors used to.

After service, and the next installment as part of our The Chosen series, let's fellowship with refreshments as a family and close out Black History Month in SBCC style.

Let's Have a Soulful Singspiration!

Join us for a special Oasis (Saturday Night) service as we join our voices in a medley of gospel music through the decades.

Let's remember, rejoice and worship in melody and harmony as we connect with God in joyful praise through some of the iconic music that we grew up with.

See you Saturday at 5 PM.

Article: How Rest Liberates Black People

Are you familiar with the concept "Rest is Resistance?"

Here is an article perfectly timed with Pastor Tammy's latest sermon, "Rest for Your Soul."

'Permission To Not Be In Survival Mode': How Rest Liberates Black People.

It goes in-depth about what "Rest is Resistance" means and the benefits of rest beyond being calming and imperative for our mental and physical health.

Pick-Me-Up of the Week

Pick Me Up - Edwin Hawkins –

I Heard the Voice of Jesus

Sometimes we all need a pick-me-up! In this case, a pick-me-up is a song, a scripture, a quote, or even a photo that can help remind us of God's love and care.

God speaks to us in many ways; sometimes, we must be prepared to listen.

If there's a song you've heard recently or a selection of scripture that's helped you overcome a challenging week, then share it!

You can email the church with your pick-me-up to [email protected].
