Register for your classes BEFORE Welcome Week!

Complete the registration steps in the "SBCC: Register for Classes! (Steps to Enrollment)" email we sent you upon admission to SBCC.

Your F-1 Visa requires you to enroll in:

12 units minimum with at least one in-person class

A few tips:

  • Try to register for your classes before you arrive!
  • You may still register during Welcome Week, but some classes will filled by then.
  • Registration Instructions
  • Registration Assistance on Zoom - no appointment necessary!
  • Look at your Schedule & Bill for the dates, times, locations, modality and refund deadlines for each of your courses. In Pipeline look for "My Class Schedule & Bill".
Housing Information

Housing vacancy rates in the Santa Barbara area are extremely low. We strongly recommend you to reserve housing before booking your flight and arriving in the US. If you cannot find housing in the SB area before you arrive, please consider deferring your I-20 to the next semester, or contact your Advisor to ask about your options.

A few tips:

Get Ready for Your Classes
Check out Getting Ready for Classes to help you prepare for your classes, buy textbooks, etc.

Enter your U.S. address in Pipeline

Required for your visa status & I-20

Your International Advisor is required to register your I-20 and enter your U.S. address and phone number in SEVIS by February 16. We cannot do this without your U.S. address. Enter your U.S. address in Pipeline within 10 days of your arrival!

How to Update Your Address in Pipeline

If you do not enter your address in Pipeline by February 16, it may result in a violation of your F-1 visa.
