SBE Welcomes New Members

SBE welcomes Mary Fertakis, M.Ed., and Jan Brown to the Board following this past fall’s election. Fertakis will represent Western Washington (region 3), and Brown will be the Board’s new Private Schools representative. MJ Bolt (SBE Vice Chair) ran uncontested and will continue to represent Eastern Washington (region 1).

The Director of Advocacy and Engagement will engage with a broad range of stakeholders including students and families, partner agencies and organizations, and will have primary responsibility for managing the overall government relations program under the direction of the Executive Director and in consultation with the Board.
