Agency requirements changing rapidly
The COVID-19 pandemic has created a situation where agencies are often forced to change requirements by the hour because of new information about the state of the virus. For  example some Institutes/Centers at  NIH will currently allow existing  grants  to be altered to include COVID-19 or for the focus of a grant to be changed to COVID-19. But this can change as quickly as it's announced. To avoid confusion that could affect your ability to get funding  from any SBIR/STTR agency , we recommend contacting BBCetc and let us assist you with finding the right information, asking the right questions, and making the right decisions.

Attend the Virtual SBIR Classroom
We're bridging the gap between onsite training and webinars with our new Virtual SBIR Classroom . This new online training is live and interactive with the speaker visible to the audience. Class spans a half to a full day with three-to-five hours of content delivered. Timely breaks, activities and regular interaction with participants are built into the program to increase engagement and involvement. Multiple speakers can be featured when specific expertise is useful.

ONE KEY TO ACCESS EVERYTHING?
Wouldn’t it be great if you had one key for your house, car, office — and everything else?

Login.gov  provides a one key solution using Identity Management to help make sure that only the correct people get access to the appropriate information.

Login.gov  secures the user's sensitive personal information in a vault built on National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards. This system uses two-factor authentication as well as strong passwords to secure data so it can't be shared with other government entities without users permission.

eRA Commons now offers the Two Factor Authentication Login Option for all eRA Modules, including eRA Comons, Commons mobile, Assist and IAR.

In just a few steps you can be confident that your accounts are secure.
1.       Create a  login.gov  account
2.       Associate your  login.gov   account with eRA Commons (one-time only)

If you already have a  login.gov  account simply Associate your eRA Commons accounts.
NIH ALERT:
FORMS-F will be REQUIRED for due dates beginning May 25, 2020
NIH Grant applicants must use new FORMS-F for all applications with due dates on or after May 25, 2020, including SBIR and STTR applications. NIH"s application system, ASSIST, has been updated to support the new FORMS-F and is ready to process those applications.

NIH funding opportunities for Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)
In order to move quickly to fund research related to COVID-19, NIH has released notices for Urgent and Emergency competing revisions and administrative supplements to existing grant awards. Companies that have active grants are eligible to apply to these administrative supplements. This type of funding mechanism moves quickly because the scientific review is conducted internally by NIH experts instead of the traditional peer review process. This allows NIH to move quickly (3 months or less) in awarding funds for COVID-19 research. NIH Coronavirus research funding
