Finding Funding

September 2023

Anyone who has submitted a federal grant knows meeting deadlines is difficult. Writing a proposal, calculating a budget, and compiling documents are all formidable tasks, even with help from the grants team. Alternatives exist that make it easier: rolling (or continuous) deadlines, for one. These are some to consider.

Please find curated lists of opportunities by clicking on the links for each type of sponsor. Tips about accessing the lists:

  • Some will appear as a spreadsheet, others as a curated list on Pivot.
  • Viewing Pivot lists may require you to log into Pivot.
  • All faculty and staff have Pivot accounts but registration is required for their use: Pivot registration page and there is a video to assist.
  • Verify the deadlines provided by Pivot if you are interested in pursuing a particular opportunity. Some are anticipated, but not confirmed. The grants team can assist with this.
  • Once you access the Pivot list of funding opportunities, you have the ability to sort them in a number of ways. Pivot's default is "relevance."
