FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Jan. 8, 2018) -
Science Central will open the next touring exhibition,
Heart Smart
,
on Saturday, Jan.
12!
This exciting temporary exhibition will teach visitors about making everyday choices to improve heart health. Stations in the exhibition will focus on light exercise, relaxation, how to reuse and conserve food, reduce waste, organ donation, and more.
“Education is a critical component in the work we do each day at Indiana Donor Network, which is why we are so excited to partner with Science Central. It is vital that Indiana youth understand the significance of donation and especially how important it is to register as an organ, tissue and eye donor,” said Kellie Hanner, Indiana Donor Network president and chief executive officer.
“Parkview Heart Institute is proud to partner with Indiana Donor Network and Science Central to support an exhibit that will interest and inspire individuals and families in so many positive ways," said Michael GeRue, RN, MSN, and COO of Parkview Heart Institute. "By taking an interactive and entertaining approach, the exhibit will allow us to share valuable knowledge about heart health and disease prevention with children and the adults who accompany them, so that what they learn may ultimately make a meaningful impact on their life and the health of our community.”
There will be a special opening for
Heart Smart

The day will begin with a brief presentation, and an official ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. on the Top Level. Educators from both sponsors and Science Central will present special demonstrations throughout the day focused on heart health.
