Allison Miranda Reyes is one of the six students selected from applicants from all middle schools in our county as a recipient of the REACH Scholarship.

Miranda is in eighth grade and plans to study marine science after high school graduation. She has been enrolled at SCA since second grade.

Congratulations Allison!!

Award Amounts for the REACH Georgia Scholarship Program:

Students who complete the program requirements will receive a scholarship of up to $10,000 ($2,500 per academic year maximum) to be used towards the cost of attendance at a HOPE-eligible postsecondary institution in the state of Georgia.

The Core Virtue of the Month House Challenge

Virtue of the Month – Compassion

During the month of October, we are focusing on acts of Compassion - to recognize the suffering of others, then take actions to help.

Teachers and staff will be on the lookout to reward students with special Virtue of the Month Virtue Tickets for exhibiting behavior aligned with this Core Virtue. Each Virtue of the Month Ticket earned counts towards 5 points for the students' House.

October House Academic Challenge – Hispanic Heritage Month!!

National Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15th through October 15th. To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and earn House points, students completed the FLAGS & FACTS House Academic Challenge. For this challenge, Hispanic countries were highlighted with creative depictions of flags and key facts.  

Thank you to all students who participated in helping showcase the rich diversity and traditions of all Hispanic nations!!

**All students who submitted a project will receive a special treat during lunch on Tuesday, October 21st!!**

Congratulations to Madison!!!  

Madison earned the most points through this Academic Challenge and will get to celebrate with a Spartan Fiesta on Tuesday, October 21st during Spartan Hour!!

House Service Challenge – Field of Flags!!!

SCA is partnering with the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) to support their mission. Donations will be collected during lunch between October 20th and October 30th. Each dollar donated earns a point for your House! The House that earns the most points through their donations will receive a Red, White, and Blue popsicle on November 3rd.



Field of Flags - Donations of $5 or more will receive a flag to be planted on SCA's campus the week of November 3rd to celebrate Veterans Day and an opportunity to personalize a dedication in a special SCA Sunday edition.
