The Core Virtue of the Month House Challenge
Virtue of the Month – Compassion
During the month of October, we are focusing on acts of Compassion - to recognize the suffering of others, then take actions to help.
Teachers and staff will be on the lookout to reward students with special Virtue of the Month Virtue Tickets for exhibiting behavior aligned with this Core Virtue. Each Virtue of the Month Ticket earned counts towards 5 points for the students' House.
Purchase a House Shirt:
All House Shirt and SCA outerwear orders were distributed and sent home with students on Wednesday. We have a limited supply of extra House Shirts on hand. If you missed the sale and would like to purchase a House shirt, contact Mr. Woodbridge (k.woodbridge@scasav.org). Sizes are limited.
House Service Challenge – Field of Flags!!!
SCA is partnering with the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) to support their mission. Donations will be collected during lunch between October 20th and October 30th. Each dollar donated earns a point for your House! The House that earns the most points through their donations will receive a Red, White, and Blue popsicle on November 3rd.
Field of Flags - Donations of $5 or more will receive a flag to be planted on SCA's campus the week of November 3rd to celebrate Vetern's Day and an opportunity to personalize a dedication in a special SCA Sunday edition.
