(This is new date-pushed back one week due to hurricane.)
High school students will take semester exams in their core subjects of Math, English, Science, and Geography/History/Government/Economics the week of December 17-19 and may exempt ONE exam in a subject that they have a 95 or above semester average as printed on exemption grade sheets at the end of the school day on December 6. The averages listed on the exemption grade sheets will be a combination of your child's first quarter grade per his/her report card and the current 2nd quarter grade your child has earned in each of these classes.
NOTE: Missing assignments in the 2nd quarter may calculate as a 0. Remind your high school child(ren) to make up any missing work by THURSDAY, DECEMBER 6, in order for it to count toward their exemption grades.
Remember to call the school office ahead of time to request the Certificate of School Enrollment needed to obtain a student driver's license. That way we can have the form ready and notarized before you get here.
