The Great Turkey Race is ON for Secondary Students

The Great Turkey Race is here!
Counting days:
Week 1 on Thursday, November 8
Week 2 on Friday, November 16
Week 3 on Friday, November 30

We are collecting canned goods for The Lord's Pantry again this year. Secondary students may turn in items to their class sponsor any day of the week or students may turn in money to purchase canned goods. This year we will have 3 COUNTING days to earn Sherwood Cup points for each grade.  The points will be given weekly based on the percentage of cans/money turned in by the counting day for that week. The grade with the highest number of cans and/or money on each counting day will earn points accordingly. Then there will be an overall MS and HS winner (totals of Weeks 1, 2, and 3) that will earn an additional 200 points.

Weekly winners:
1 st place-200 pts, 2 nd place-150 pts, 3 rd place-100 pts, 4 th place-50 pts

Feathers for each grade's turkey will be given to the grade sponsor in HS.
1 feather = $1.00 = 2 cans

*Each grade has a goal set for them containing the number of cans and/or money that they need to achieve. Every grade that meets the goal by the last counting day will get a dress down WEEK (jeans and SCA shirts) the week before Christmas break. The Goal is based on the number of students in each grade. (10 cans and $5 for each student)

6th grade goal: $400 and 400 cans/40 students
7th grade goal: $210 and 105 cans/21 students
8th grade goal: $280 and 140 cans/28 students

9th   grade goal: $320 and 160 cans/32 students
10th grade goal: $340 and 170 cans/34 students
11th grade goal: $460 and 230 cans/46 students
12th grade goal: $360 and 180 cans/36 students
