Happy fall! We are grateful for some cooler temperatures and for the fun that is ahead at SCA during this season! Fall also brings seasonal allergies for many of us as well as other common viruses that we typically see this time of year. As always, please continue to email me regarding your child's absence - if their absence is related to illness please include symptoms and when the symptoms began.
This chart will hopefully be helpful to you as many of the symptoms overlap. I want to continue to be a resource and help so please reach out to me anytime! We want to continue to keep our school healthy! The best we can do for each other is take care of our bodies by getting good rest, maintaining a healthy diet, keeping up the good handwashing and keeping your child home if they are not well.

New Student Dashboard for Google Classroom Available!
We are testing a new dashboard that we hope will make seeing all of the things your child has due in Google Classroom easier. Just go to https://www.mystudentdashboard.com/ and sign in with your school Google account. Google Classroom won't change--this just puts everything from all of their classes on one page!
This Friday Night - Dunkin' Night at Football Games
This Friday night is Dunkin' night! Dunkin' Donuts will be at the football games this week serving munchkins and hot and iced coffee! Make sure you come out and support!
The PE department will be selling Spirit Links every day next week. Bring your money to homeroom and buy Spirit Links to help your grade raise the most money! Our goal is $1500! If we meet our goal, 1st-5th grade students will have NO written homework for a week!

Top Winner for Preschool/Kindergarten (most money turned in by student) - ½ Day out of school - November 20 (with Noon dismissal this will give them the WHOLE day off)
Top grade level class for preschool/kindergarten - Ice Cream Party (based on percentage)
Elementary:
Top Winner Elementary (most money turned in by student) - ½ day out of school (with noon dismissal making a whole day off) or Coach for the Day (½ Day) - November 20

Tuesday, October 27 - HS Guys' Volleyball Tourney
This year we are adding a
High School Guys' Volleyball Tournament
on Tuesday, October 27.
Students will compete by grade level and need to sign up with their class sponsor.
Thursday, October 29 - Powder Puff Football Tourney
We will host our annual
Powder Puff Football tournament
for our high school girls on Thursday, October 29,
during "Spirit Week."
October 26-28 - Cheerleading Clinic & Tryouts
November 6-Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Deadline
We have decided it is still unsafe to hold large group gatherings and have canceled this year's usual Veterans' Day Program on November 11. In lieu of our annual program, we will be in school for a full day on November 11 and are planning a Veterans' Day Week with classroom emphasis on patriotism.
High School Service Hour Opportunities!
There are service hour opportunities with the Fine Arts department. Please contact Brydon Fox brydonfox@scaeagles.com
Remember to call/email the school office at least 24 hours ahead of time to request the Certificate of School Enrollment needed to obtain a student driver's license. That way we can have the form ready and notarized before you get here. Forms are valid for thirty (30) days.

Just log in to Family Portal (ParentsWeb) and go to Family>Family Home>Online Filing Cabinet>Web Forms>Family Demographic Form where you can make changes to your contact info and/or change emergency contacts and/or authorized pick-up persons. Allow 24 hours for system to update. If you have a same-day change in pickup arrangements, please call the front office.
