Sept. 15-18 - ReFRESH at Sherwood Baptist Church
We will operate under our no homework policy the nights of ReFRESH to help free families up to attend the conference. Normal homework guidelines will resume on Thursday after ReFRESH.

Sept. 16-18 - Special ReFRESH Chapels
The secondary school will operate on chapel schedule Monday-Wednesday, September 16-18. Garrett Grubbs from Sherwood Baptist Church will be speaking to our 6th-12th grade students in these special ReFRESH chapels.

Our elementary students will have a special chapel on Monday with Mark Scardino, Children's Pastor from Sherwood Baptist Church.
September 17 - Mid-Term Progress Reports
Links to mid-term progress reports for 1st-12th grade students will be emailed to parents Tuesday afternoon around 2 PM.

Log on to FACTS Family Portal (ParentsWeb)
Select the Student Information Button on the left
Select Grades
There will be a tab labeled for each of your children
There will be two report tabs under each child
Select a child
The Mid-Term Progress Report* shows a list of their subjects with the mid-term average in each subject.
The Grade Book Report* is more DETAILED and shows daily grades, but you must select each subject from the drop-down menu.
*Once posted, the mid-term progress report does not change.  It is a snapshot of your child's averages at mid-point in the term. The grade book progress report changes every time a grade is added.
September 20 - Island Night* Theme Dress for the Day
This Friday  we have an "Island Night" theme for our varsity football game.  Students may dress for SCHOOL and the GAME in island wear: Hawaiian shirts, shorts & flip flops.  NO tank tops.  Shorts MUST be appropriate length.

* Friday is also our SCA t-shirt and jeans day so if students don't want to wear island wear, they may wear any SCA t-shirt and denim/jeans.  Either way, $1 will be collected for everyone not in SCA uniform.

Secondary students will have a special See You At The Pole chapel on Wednesday, September 25, in the MPR.
September 26 - Parent-Teacher Conferences by Appt.

Thursday, September 26 - Half-Day Dismissal
Parent-Teacher Conferences by Appointment
Thursday, September 26, will be a half-day of school, with elementary dismissing at 11:30 and secondary dismissing at noon. We will have parent/teacher conferences available by appointment from 1:00-4:00 PM and 5:00-7:30 PM.  
All elementary parents will receive an email from their child's teacher regarding a parent/teacher conference.
Middle and high school conferences are encouraged only if a student is new to SCA, struggling in an area(s), or parent has specific concerns.  Parents should schedule middle and high school conferences through Brenda Keefe at brendakeefe@scaeagles.com or 883-5677.

Applying for Your Driver's License?
Remember to call/email the school office at least 24 hours ahead of time to request the Certificate of School Enrollment needed to obtain a student driver's license.  That way we can have the form ready and notarized before you get here. Forms are valid for thirty (30) days.
