Humanitarian Committee

The Humanitarian Committee met on June 23. Our main task was selecting this year’s scholarship recipients. Stay tuned—we’ll announce the winners in next month’s newsletter!

Public Relations Committee

The PR committee met at 3pm at The House of Pizza this month. We plan to meet at 3:30pm for our next meeting on July 8^th.  

Our 2026 Sponsorship sign-up sheet is posted every month at our monthly Social Hour. We only have a few spots open for 2026. Fees will be increasing to $100. $50 to cover pizza and $50 towards a progressive drawing starting January 2026! Min prize amount is $150. The progressive drawing will be drawn quarterly in 2026 (March, June, September and December). If the “cash pot” doesn’t go out, the winnings will be higher at the next drawing! In order to get your name into the progressive drawing, you have to attend the social hour and enter. You can put your name in the drawing every month. Meaning the more frequently you attend the social hours, the higher chances you have to win!! 😊

June Social: Our June Social took place on the 10^th and was sponsored by St. Cloud Financial Credit Union. Thank you for providing the movie gift basket and Menard’s gift card. Our lucky winner’s were Berni Halaas and Alba Henesy-Gutierrez from New Century Real Estate!

July Social: Will be July 8^th starting at 4PM at House of Pizza in St Cloud. July’s social sponsored by The Golf Committee, we hope you join us for Social Hour!

Adopt-a-Rain Garden

SCAAR is going to Adopt-a-Rain Garden in St. Cloud. MN Realtors is offering a $1,000 Eco MicroGrant to local Associations to promote sustainability and resiliency and positively impact our community. We pulled together a task force and with this grant they decided to Adopt-a-Rain Garden. With the funds, we will buy needed plants and supplies.

Next to Lake George in the Northeastern parking lot, there are two smaller rain gardens, one on each end of the parking lot. This is what we are adopting. We will get a sign put up with our name for reconigition and we will be responsible for maintianing these areas.

Government Affairs Committee

Matt Glaesman from the City of St. Cloud reached out with a link to two surveys they are conducting. One is on Land Use and the other is on Downtown. Please take a few minutes to fill out these surveys. Your input is greatly appreciated!
