Humanitarian Committee

I know it's too early to think about winter and snow, BUT the Humanitarian Committee will be collecting coats and winter gear again this fall to help support Project Connect. We will take new or gently used items inlcuding sweatshirts.

Bring any items you'd like to donate to the SCAAR Office, 2109 Troop Drive, Sartell, by Friday, Oct. 25th!

Project Connect is Oct. 29th. We will have a booth there where we hand out the coats/winter gear that we collect. If you are interested in helping at the booth, please let me know.

Also, the Humanitarian Committee will be adopting a family again during the holiday season. If you know of a family that might need a little extra help this year, please have them submit this form. Forms are due by Nov. 29.

Bylaws Committee

The Bylaws Committee held one of our biannual meetings in mid-August to review the Bylaws and the Office Policies & Procedures Handbook. While this may not sound thrilling to everyone, it’s a crucial task that ensures our organization runs smoothly and remains compliant with current standards. This year, we focused on refining and clarifying existing guidelines, making sure everything is up-to-date and relevant.

We're currently seeking individuals with a keen eye for detail and a few hours to spare to join our team. If you’ve been looking for a meaningful way to contribute to our association, this is an excellent opportunity. The commitment is minimal—just about 3 hours of your time—and the work is straightforward but vital. Plus, being part of this committee offers a chance to influence the very framework that governs our operations.

We understand that volunteering can sometimes feel like an added responsibility, but the impact you can have is significant. In recent times, we’ve noticed a decline in volunteerism, which makes your involvement more important than ever. Every committee, not just ours, could benefit from fresh perspectives and a bit of your time.

So, if you’re ready to give back in a way that’s both manageable and impactful, consider joining the Bylaws Committee. Your contribution will help us continue to keep our association strong and well-organized, and it’s a great way to make a difference without overwhelming your schedule.

Government Affairs Committee

Did you know that Sauk Rapids recently put in place a moratorium on issuing rental licenses? Their intent is to create an ordiance regulating how many rentals can be in a certain area of the City. We are working to find out more information about this.

If you attend any City/County meetings and something comes up that we would be interested in, please reach out to Kelly@stcloudrealtors.com or a member of the committee.
