August 2020
Welcome Message from Sherri Watkins, SCAEC Executive Director

Welcome back to the 2020-2021 School Year!

The 2020-2021 school year definitely looks different and is surely unique and something we will never forget! As we being our sixth year since the creation of Adult Education Consortia throughout the state, I am excited and honored to continue to serve and help strengthen relationships on behalf of the State Center Adult Education Consortium (SCAEC).
SCAEC Launches New Student and Teacher Resource Website,

Current and prospective students will find information on college, careers, and supportive services at our new resource website, SCAECLearns.org.

Students can request an appointment by phone, email or video chat with a Transitions Specialist for assistance with:
  • Academic and career advising
  • College admission applications
  • Financial aid
  • Educational and career training options
  • Career exploration
  • Community resource referrals

Teachers will find up-to-date information on lesson plans, professional development opportunities, testing, and other resources.
SCAEC Program Area Networking Meetings
With the opportunity to meet virtually, SCAEC will be hosting networking meetings by program area. We have had success with hosting the Nurse Assistant (CNA) Training Providers meetings because it provides a venue to meet with others that may have great ideas or face the same challenges as you do. If you are interested in attending a meeting specific to your program area, please complete this quick form so a calendar invitation can be sent to you when meetings are scheduled.
