Protect Adult Education Funding in FY26 Appropriations Bill

The House Appropriations Committee is preparting to vote on the federal fiscal year (FY) 26 Appropriations bill. This bill follows the Administration's FY 26 budget request and completely eliminates federal funding for adult education.

If this funding cut becomes law, millions of adults will lose access to programs that provide literacy, numeracy, digital skills, and workforce training. The impact would be devastating for adult learners, local employers, and entire communities.

Please take a moment to email your Representative, urging them to support restoring adult education funding.

During these sessions, the student ambassadors highlighed the challenges they've overcome, their return-to-school journeys, and their subsequent achievements.

At the end of the program, the students were celebrated at a recognition luncheon attended by their families, PG&E representatives, State Center Community College District administration, and SCAEC board members and staff.
