Ms. Morehouse, our current Montessori teacher and extended care lead, is leaving at the end of this school year. We wish her well with her next adventure and appreciate all she has done for SCBA. She will be missed! Miss Nicole will be moving into Pre-K as the lead teacher and Miss Brandy will be moving into the 2-Year-Old as the lead teacher for that classroom. Miss Molly will be moving to an aide position working with our Pre-Kindergarten classroom.
Mrs. Prewitt is moving to a different position for this next year. She will be working as a Math interventionist and helping our scholars who need additional support with the area of Math.

Mrs. Zitariuk will be our new Middle-School Math and Science teacher. She has done a wonderful job these past two months with our middle school and is excited to be here all the time with our scholars. We are blessed to have her be a permanent part of the school!

Sarah Niblock will be joining our faculty as our middle school religion and history teacher. She is graduating from Thomas Aquinas College in California. She is a graduate from St. Therese Catholic School and St. Pius X High School. She is thrilled to begin her teaching career here at SCBA.

This is very exciting to have all our positions filled before school is out! God is good and has brought the right people to SCBA for the upcoming academic year.

Please keep our 8th graders in your prayers this next week. They officially graduate on May 12, 2022. This is such a special time for each of them. They are ready to fly and head off to high school. We are excited to see all they will accomplish!

Many blessings,

Many blessings,

Dr. Hopson
Dear SCBA Parents:
As many of you may know, one of our littlest scholars, Jax Naumann, has been diagnosed with cancer. He is having surgery to remove the tumor on Friday, May 6, 2022! Please keep Jax, his family and his doctors in your prayers today
Our school wants to help the Naumann family and have decided to do host a "Jammin' for Jax " dance party on May 18 2022 at 2:00 pm. Every scholar will be given a t-shirt that they can wear on May 18th - we want Jax to feel our love and support! If your family is able to provide a donation to the school for the t-shirt - all funds collected will go to the Naumann family to help with medical costs.
Again - everyone in the school will be provided a t-shirt - we are only asking for donations if you are able to donate!
This is a wonderful example of the love and support our school community has for our scholars and families. We are truly family and here to help one another in through times like this!
We want to flood heaven with prayers today so that Jax's doctors can remove the entire tumor and Jax will heal quickly!
If you are able to send in a donation, just place it in an envelope and write "Jammin for Jax" on it and send it to the school office. We will take care of it from there.
T-shirts will be sent home as soon as we get them! Then we will all wear them on May 18th and have a dance party for Jax!
Thank you!

Please help me congratulate Sydney Mitchell, 7th grader and Alaina Ortiz, 6th grader, for their Elks Lodge Essay. Sydney and Alaina placed third in their grade for writing an essay on what it means to love their country! Their families attended a Ceremony on April 29th to celebrate their accomplishments.

The next FFD is THIS Friday, May 6th, from 7 pm to 10 pm and is chaperoned by our Knights of Columbus members.

Attendees have the option to pre-register (see information below) or can register the night of the dance. (Student and Parent/Guardian should both be present to register.)

This dance is a THEME dance and we plan to kick-off the summer the right way with a Hawaiian Luau!! We invite our attendees and chaperones to wear Luau attire (no swimsuits!)

The first 170 attendees will receive a colorful lei and the first 150 attendees will receive a coupon for a free item at a local restaurant. There will also be a Hawaiian backdrop "selfie" station setup.

Along with our growing number of door prizes, we have made arrangements for a Shaved Ice machine for this week's dance! Come out and get your Summer started right!
For the first time since 2019, it is my pleasure to announce the Knights will begin to transition your current 6th graders into the First Friday Dance events. This will allow the 6th graders an opportunity to learn our chaperone's FFD expectations while having FUN with their friends in a SAFE environment.

Our May 6th dance is our next event and in order to begin our 6th grader transition, the Knights will offer a pre-registration for your 6th grade studentsThere will be on-site registration available on May 6th, but please understand, there will be a line then.
