• Nov. 4. From Mayhem to Murder in Picture Books—How to Scare the Little out of Kids. There’s so much more to a spooky tale than just the fear factor! Discover elements of the horror genre and how to apply them for younger audiences. ($15, from SCBWI Pennsylvania East)

• Nov. 6. From Concept to Creation: Pattern-Making for Children's Book Endpapers with Penelope Dullaghan. Endpapers are the first and last thing you see when opening a children’s book, but endpaper creation isn't often discussed!
