Webinar: Tricking Your Brain Into Plotting for MG & YA w/ Janice Hardy

Janice Hardy will share her tips and handout on plotting MG & YA. Plotting doesn’t always come naturally—especially if your brain freezes at the word “outline.” But your subconscious is already better at it than you think. In this workshop, writers will learn how to coax their brains into generating plot ideas organically, using tricks and techniques that tap into how stories are naturally structured.

Registration is Open for this informative 2-Hour Webinar + Handout + 3 Submission Opportunities (Additional MG or YA Written Critiques are sold out)

WHEN: March 7, 2026, 10AM-12PM EST

WHERE: Virtual on Zoom

First Pages w/ Agent Sera Rivers

Join us for a First Pages event with agent Sera Rivers from Speilburg Literary.

Sera Rivers (she/her) is a Literary Agent at Speilburg Literary, an AALA member, and a writer. She represents books for the children’s and adult markets and is especially interested in inclusive narratives.

She’ll respond in the moment to as many first pages as possible, with time for Q&A at the end. She is offering a submission opportunity for 30 days following the event. The event will be recorded, so you do not need to be present. Please note, there will be no guarantee that your first page will be read. We will try to read and respond to as many as possible. Even if your first page is not read, there is still a great learning opportunity to see how an agent responds in real time to the first page of a manuscript.
