February Meeting
Tuesday, Feb 11
11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Texas Roadhouse Restaurant
124 Westgate Dr, Brockton

Thanks to our good friends, and fellow Chamber Members,  TEXAS ROADHOUSE RESTAURANT  for Hosting us, once again!  I know that the lunch buffet has always been enticing, served with salad and warm buttery rolls with cinnamon butter.   We will begin at 11:30 am with the buffet and then our speakers will begin around noon.

Since this meeting will be a few days before Valentine's Day, Joanne will be making her very delish chocolate covered strawberries, which will be the perfect segway into:

"Health & Fitness in the New Year"
The topic is Health & Fitness, which seems appropriate right after folks have made their resolutions to get healthier in 2020!  Our speakers include; Jesse Keene, Associate Executive Director of the Old Colony YMCA (OCY); Rebecca Jankins, Managing Partner at Bay State Physical Therapy; Lauren Harding, General Manager, and Nancy Sawyer, Fitness Consultant, from Elite Health & Fitness Center.

Jesse Keene
Jesse is relatively new to  OCY , he comes from the private sector, having owned and operated a club in Middlesex County for 14 years.  High on his priority list is Customer Service, from building relationships, to cleanliness, to member satisfaction.  He is well skilled in all aspects of fitness, he oversees group fitness, personal training and bringing innovative fitness programming to the Y.

Rebecca 'Becky' Jankins
Becky has been at BSPT since 2013, mentoring students of varying degrees over the years.  She has participated in community events, such as Stoughton Day and the OCY Spin-a-thon, and, after a few years, has become the lead Physical Therapist.  When the prior Managing Partner went on maternity leave, Becky was given the opportunity to become clinic manager of the OCY location.

Becky married in 2018, and also took the Orthopedic Care Specialist exam.  In 2019 BSPT opened a second location on Washington St (Walgreen's Plaza), Stoughton.  As of  2020, she has now taken on the role of Managing Partner of both locations.  She splits her time between clinics and continues to grow as a therapist through Bay State's leadership program.  In her free time, Becky plays slow pitch softball and enjoys watching all New England sports, especially the Bruins and Red Sox.

Lauren Harding
Lauren is the General Manager of Elite Health & Fitness, and has two degrees in nutrition as well as a background in dance.  Lauren takes pride in teamwork, quality customer service and offering services affordable to members, while allowing for her qualified staff to grow successfully.

Nancy Sawyer
Nancy is a Fitness Consultant for Elite Health & Fitness, and has over 10 years experience in the fitness industry, in a variety of roles ranging from marketing and sales to general manager.  She has a passion for people and enjoys making personal connections with new members, while showing how Elite can match their needs for fitness and wellness.

Ameriprise Financial
In my experience, being a part of your local Chamber of Commerce is a great way to meet other small business owners and really get involved in the community you do business in.  Although the Stoughton Chamber is new to me, I have been involved in the Taunton Area Chamber of Commerce for some time.  I'm starting to work with a wider client base that spans the area the Stoughton Chamber serves, so I'm excited to get to know many of the successful businesses in the area!
