Carrie O'Halloran, VP Market Manager at Envision Bank, and the SCC Vice Chair on the Chamber's Executive Board, has invited us to a Business After Hours at their Cobb's Corner Branch, on Tuesday, February 12, 5:30pm!
Plans are still in the works but I do believe this will be an excellent, tasteful (and tasty) event, including beer and wine!
As the founder of Hop Top Films (HTF), a local filmmaking company, I have been working hard to establish our company as one of the top independent filmmakers in the New England community! In my opinion, the most important attributes of a successful company in this industry are:
Strive for excellence in every facet of what we do: finding talented people in both casting and crew, using the correct locations to establish the best shots, having state of the art equipment that is properly used and maintained.
Establish Trust: working with all of the entities that are involved in a successful film through proper communication and, most of all, respect for one another.
Versatility: maintaining fluidity on and off set, being able to handle modifications quickly and effectively (on the fly, when necessary).
Delivery of Product: should be on time and within budget
I have been told, by both customers and peers, that HTF has been meeting, and exceeding, in all areas mentioned above, which affords us the credibility that will allow us to continue our forward progress for years to come.
My Fishing Cape Cod NBC SportsBOSTON
As far as my personal background, I am a graduate of the Center for Digital Imaging Arts (CDIA), an affiliate of Boston University, with a certification in Digital Filmmaking, and currently have 8-years of experience producing high quality video content (recent successes: My Fishing Cape Cod on NBC Sports), creating, filming & editing a variety of videos including weddings, corporate videos, as well as business videos for major Internet companies (Yelp, Zillow, Wedding Wire, etc).
Though, I enjoy working on all facets of filmmaking (directing, writing, editing, cinematography, lighting, sound), I believe my skills are best honed for directing and cinematography. In 2014 I was lead cinematographer on a popular Web series called, "Girl in the Attic" where I met Paul Taft, who is a SAG (union) actor and, like me, has a
wealth of knowledge in this industry.
Paul has been like my right arm, becoming more involved in the production aspects, helping to guide the ship! He is currently working as the Director on an important social film about domestic violence called, "The Truth Behind Closed Doors".
Another very important person at HTF is Taylor Briand, who is not only a great photographer and our Marketing Manager, she is also my girlfriend.
One of our most recent additions to HTF is the HTF Studio in Rockland MA, small but versatile, equipped with many of the bells & whistles needed to produce professional videos, films, podcasts and photographic work.
As of today, we have several short films, some produced, some 'in the can' (ready to be released) and some currently being shot; Our most recent completed project is "Lifted", a thriller/sci-fi film, which we are currently submitting to various Film Festivals throughout the world!
HTF has also worked on several music videos, a project for Steve Blackwood, who is a rather famous soap opera star (Days of Our Lives), called Meet the Author, and most recently a commercial video for CuraHealth-Stoughton!
Here is a short list of some of our recent commercial promos;
