topStoughton Chamber Members,

Below, you will find information on upcoming events for the next three months.  As for Chamber events, on October 10th we will be at the Outback Steakhouse, Randolph, our guest speaker is James Dunphy, Executive VP at South Shore Bank.  Then, November 18th, we are at Town Spa Family Restaurant, for our popular " Caught You Doing Something Good" dinner and ceremony.

Then, on December 9th, we have a very special surprise for our SCC Holiday Party, which will be hosted at the Portuguese National Club!  A good friend,  Mr. Roger Kabler, who is one of the top Robin Williams impersonators  in the world, will be our entertainer, you don't want to miss this one!!  Roger has performed all over the world, including having shows in LA and Las Vegas!  In the early 90's he had his own TV show, Rhythm & Blues!!

For non-Chamber events, we also have the  Knights of Pythias Auction for our Food Pantries,  which will take place on November 23rd at the  Stoughton VFW Post #1645 !  This year dinner will be provided by Texas Roadhouse Restaurant  and will certainly be delicious.

The auction has always been lots of fun, 100% plus of the proceeds will go to our Ilse Marks Food Pantry and St. Anthony's Free Market, via Food Pantry Foundation of Stoughton (FPFS is a 501c3 non-profit).  If anyone would like to donate a gift card or an item for this auction, please contact Joanne ASAP

We also have a wonderful  Business Spotlight for Stoughton Cleaners , a long time member of our Chamber.  Paul and Penny Konstatilakis are the owners and have always been very supportive of our Chamber and programs that we have provided.

SCC Nominations for the 2020 SCC Officers and Board of Directors, will be taking  place in November so if you wish to be a candidate or would like to nominate someone, please do so ASAP!  The deadline is Oct 15th.

October Chamber Meeting
Hosted by
Outback Steakhouse
45 Mazzeo Drive, Randolph
11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Jorge Arevello, the General Manager at the Outback Steakhouse in Randolph, has invited us back for our Oc tober meeting.  Outback has hosted us for many years and they have always treated us right when it comes to cooking from the Down Under (actually, just the next town over).
James Luongo  of South Shore Bank  and one of our SCC Board Members , has helped to organize this meeting; established the topic and invited our guest speaker, James Dunphy , who is the Executive Vice President at South Shore Bank .

Mr. Dunphy will be discussing, " Developing our Chamber"; how to build a Chamber with members who are active, engaged and serving their business community.  He will review economic visions for our area and how a Chamber can play an active role in the business  community while also providing a positive impact with the residents of our area.

Mr. Dunphy has been with South Shore Bank for 6 years and is a long time resident of the South Shore, originally from Abington.

About South Shore Bank: Originally chartered in 1833, South Shore Bank is a full-service community bank with assets of approximately $1 billion and 14 locations, including 1538 Turnpike Street, North Stoughton.

Monday, November 18th
"Caught You Doing Something Good"
Hosted b y
Town Spa  Family Restaurant
1119 Washington St, Stoughton
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
"Caught You Doing Something Good has been one of our favorite events because it honors those who are Caught going Above and Beyond, either at the workplace or just in life.  This ceremony is not only for Chamber members but also open to the police and fire departments, the schools, and even the residence.  Anyone can submit a request but we only do 8-10 recipients a year!

Started in 2012, we have now Caught a little under 60 deserving recipients from all types of situations: a 12 year old girl was caught, having saved the life of her young brother who was choking; another young girl had a successful fundraiser for the purchase of a huge American flag that is flown by our Stoughton Fire Dept; a teacher was caught by a principal; a police officer by the Chief of police, a number of Chamber Businesses have also been caught; etc.

Last year there were 9 recipients; from food pantry volunteers to business donators, and people who went above and beyond for strangers because they felt it was just the right thing to do!  Each of the recipients is invited, with 1 guest, to our " CYDSG" Ceremony and treated to a nice meal and then receive a certificate, from their sponsor (the person that did the catching).

If you would like to catch someone then please Click Here to download the CYDSG Letter, which you can fill in and submit back to me.  The committee will be deciding by the end of October as to who the CYDSG Recipients will be!

Next month we will know who our recipients will be and publish in November's E-Newsletter.  We do hope that you will attend and bring friends because it's a very worthwhile event (and a non-dues revenue generator for the Chamber).

SCC Holiday Party brings you
"A Tribute to Robin Williams"
Hosted at
The Portuguese National Club
Wyman Street, Stoughton
5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
My good friend, Roger Kabler , is one of the top Robin Williams impersonators in the world, having performed his Tribute to Robin Williams all over the world!!  Roger has agreed to tantalize us with two sets, first, he will be providing comic relief through impersonations of many well known actors,  Deniro, Pacino, Walken, etc !

Then, after the intermission, The Spirit of Robin Williams  will appear on stage, right before your eyes!!  Roger is one of the top 5 Robin Williams impersonators in the World, and he will be offering up a nice sampling of  many of the comic routines and characters, from Robin, that we have all grown to love, including:  Mrs Doubtfire, Mork, GM Vietnam, etc !

Due to the limited capacity at the club, this one-of-a-kind tribute will most likely sell out so watch for further details, perhaps a promo video, on Social Media!!
We will be setting up an Event Registration shortly
