Parent Education
Lorea Martinez , Parent Ed Liaison
According to parenting coach Dr. Laura Markham, dinner is the best predictor we have of how kids will do in adolescence. The more frequently kids eat dinner with their families, the better they do in school, and the less likely they are to get involved with drugs or alcohol, suffer depression, consider suicide, or become sexually active during high school. If you want to learn more about the importance of family dinners and how to make them happen regularly, read Laura’s article here

Coming up this week, you can learn about drug and alcohol prevention (Tue) and positive discipline (Thurs). And did you already sign up for the yoga and mindfulness class at SCC? Click here if you haven’t. Happy Parenting!

New additions to the hot lunch menu include King’s Hawaiian Sweet Cold Sliders (entree) and Angie’s Boomchickapop (snack).

To keep ChoiceLunch at SCC next year we must get our hot lunch volumes up. We’ve had a pretty substantial dip in volumes since returning from President's week and we’re in jeopardy of not having hot lunch at SCC next year. Please order ChoiceLunch!!
