This month’s story is from the NNJR Pole Position dated April 1983 titled

“The ‘Forecast’ printed here is taken from our old ‘TONNEAU’ newsletter and was made

in December 1963 predicting what the 1964 year would be like in SCCA. It is especially

appropriate in this year; the twentieth birthday of Formula Vee, to see how our

Forefathers envisioned the future of the fledgling class..so read on,

SCCA-NNJR hosted our annual Spring Time-Speed-Distance Rally on Sunday April 26th.

The opening weekend of the NEDiv Championship Road Racing Series is just around the corner.

The season opens Saturday May 16 and Sunday May 17at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. With over a hundred and twenty entries already registered it looks to be a great weekend.

 Next on the schedule is the double weekend at Watkins Glen, Saturday May 30 and Sunday May 31. Billed as the June-ish Sprints, this is the first of two races held at Watkins Glen in 2026 (the other is the Fun One in September). 

 June offers race weekends three and four in the eight race series. First up on Friday June 12 and Saturday June 13 is the now infamous “Paddock Crawl” at Lime Rock. As it has been in the past several years, as an SCCA racer this is your only chance to run Lime Rock in 2026.

 Saturday June 27 and Sunday June 28 the series moves south to NJMP and the exciting Lightning Course for weekend number four.

 If you haven’t planned on doing so, make plans to come out and join us at one or more of the upcoming events as a participant, a worker or just to hangout with some really cool folks.
