SANTA CLARA COUNTY FIRESAFE COUNCIL AND SENSORY AI ENTER INTO PILOT TESTING AND DISTRIBUTION PARTNERSHIP
Will Selectively Deploy and Pilot Test SensoRy AI’s Portfolio of AI-Powered Solutions for Early Wildfire Detection
June 23, 2025, Saratoga, CA—Santa Clara County FireSafe Council (SCCFSC) announced today it has entered into a partnership with SensoRy AI, a company founded by Ryan Honary, to pilot test and distribute SensoRy AI’s’ early wildfire detection portfolio. SensoRy AI’s platform combines a wireless mesh sensor network with artificial intelligence and machine learning to detect wildfires at their earliest stages, providing firefighters with instant notifications and real-time updates on predicted growth speed and direction. Designed to be low-cost and scalable, the solution is ideal for high-risk areas. Santa Clara County FireSafe Council will select locations and partners that best enable us to collect field data supporting SensoRy AI’s product development interests.
“Wildfires are increasing in frequency, speed and magnitude in Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) areas,” said Seth Schalet, CEO of Santa Clara County FireSafe Council. “Having engaged with Ryan for several years as he has taken SensoRy AI from an idea to a deployable product, the time I’ve spent with him has been a true pleasure. We need people like Ryan who have a vision, the skills and poise to leapfrog existing solutions, truly driving innovation that addresses the increasing risk we face from destructive wildfires.”
In February 2025, SensoRy AI and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) deployed SensoRY AI’s AI-driven early wildfire detection system in City of Irvine’s Open Space Preserve.
“Early detection is one of our greatest weapons in what has become a year-round fire season, empowering crews to more safely and effectively execute the robust and rapid initial attack required to keep wildfires small,” said OCFA Fire Chief Brian Fennessy. “For several years now, we have partnered with Ryan and SensoRy AI.
