the SOAR Awards Program supports the professional and clinical development of a select number of early career radiologists and cardiologists. Early career physicians and scientists who have completed a cardiovascular CT imaging training program within the last four years were encouraged to apply. From the submissions, six finalists were selected by an independent advisory panel to participate in this competitive program.

All six finalists will attend the 11th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography in
Orlando, Florida June 23-26, 2016
. During a dedicated session at the meeting, each finalist will deliver a ten-minute presentation of their work. The abstracts and presentations will be judged by an independent panel. One winning finalist and a runner-up finalist will be recognized. The winning finalist and the runner-up finalist will receive cash prizes, and they must be present at the Awards Ceremony on Sunday, June 26, 2016, to receive their prizes. In addition, the winning finalist will be invited to submit his or her original research manuscript for priority peer-reviewed publication in the Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
