Dear SCDA Members,
The SCDA Board of Governors met earlier today and after much deliberation have made the decision to recommend to dentists across the state to suspend all but urgent and emergency care in all dental offices for 14 days. We feel this addresses the level of member concern about the supply and personnel shortages they are facing and how to reconcile the dramatic shifts in public health recommendations.
We realize that this adds stress to all small business owners. We are working on a list of resources and suggestions for how to mitigate your health and financial risks. Please know that we are working hard to advocate for our members with regard to all the concerns we share.
In addition, the SCDA will begin a work from home model starting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17, 2020. We do not anticipate there to be any disruption in the advice and service we provide for our members on a day to day basis.
Lastly, the Coastal District, Rural Incentive and Medicaid Committee Meetings have all been cancelled.
We are still working on what can be done regarding our Third-Party Issues Seminar.
We ask that you check your emails regularly and often over the next few weeks as more information will be sent out.
Your SCDA Board of Governors
