The last six weeks have been a whirlwind of sewing activities. It’s going to take a few more weeks to recover from ten days in Houston for International Quilt Market & Festival and an eight-day sewing retreat with Rita Farro, Mary Mulari, and Deanna Springer in the Quad Cities of Iowa. I have done a lot of talking and listening with people like you who love to sew, quilt, and create. In Houston, starting October 25th, I posted 28 SCHMETZneedles FBLives directly from the show floor so you could meet a few industry friends. In Iowa, Rita posted pics from our sewing retreat including a spontaneous FBLive. Thank you, Rita? Truth is, it was nearly midnight when I serged a sweatshirt with tuxedo stripes. I was wearing my nightgown. No lipstick. No earrings. You saw the real me and responded kindly along with many other FB videos and pics that Rita posted starting November 12th.

BTW, when you receive this newsletter, I’ll be at The Sewing Expo hosted by Stitchin’ Heaven in Quitman, TX. Drop by for my last two 2023 SCHMETZ lectures. My colleagues kept tabs on my virtual and in-person SCHMETZ classes. Three hundred and forty-two (342) SCHMETZ presentations since the pandemic. My SCHMETZ whirlwind happily continues into the new year. Thanks to YOU for being a SCHMETZ fan!
