Where will I be next week? This month's travel and teaching schedule is robust. I am giving multiple lectures at Original Sewing and Quilt Expos. I will present SCHMETZ lectures over two days in Punta Gorda, FL for Flash Sewing & Quilting. And last, but not least, I'll be in Houston, TX for International Quilt Market and Festival. My hands-on SCHMETZ exploratory class sold out again this year. Hurray!

Over the last few days, we have had inquiries about the color bar on SCHMETZ Stretch Twin and Jeans Twin needles. If you have been using twin needles over the years, you too may have noticed a color change. Be sure to view Needle Points below.

My husband is a Philadelphia Flyers fan. He asked for a quilt that would celebrate the team colors of orange and black. The pattern I used was Cozy Quilt Designs Hot Flashes. Not only did it show off the Flyers colors, but also depicted lightning bolts for my favorite team, the Tampa Bay Lightning. Win! Win!

SCHMETZ Changed the Color of the Cross Bar on Stretch Twin and Jeans Twin Needles

Due to supply chain issues, SCHMETZ changed the color of the plastic bar on Stretch Twin and Jeans Twin needles from blue to red. Until old stock is consumed, there will be overlap between the two colors. The needles have the same technical properties, the only difference is the color of the plastic cross bar. Images in SCHMETZ documents will be updated as needed. This change only affects the Twin Needle types: 130/705 H-S ZWI 2.5 & 4.0 and 130/705 H-J ZWI 4.0, both single and twin packs.

Textile Talks features weekly presentations and panel discussions from the International Quilt Museum, Quilt Alliance, Studio Art Quilt Associates, and Surface Design Association. The programs are held online at 2 PM Eastern / 11 AM Pacific US and Canada (GMT/UTC -5) each Wednesday and last approximately one hour.
