Last month at The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show, I met Lynn Auclair, winner of the September SCHMETZ Snippet FBLive giveaway. What a pleasant surprise! Viewers were asked to identify quilt or sewing shows they planned to visit this fall. It just so happens that Lynn is from Wisconsin and replied that she was attending The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show. Hurray! I was working SCHMETZ in the Nancy Zieman Sewing Studio/StitchIt Sisters booth and gave three lectures. Lynn and I met up, talked sewing, and had a few laughs. I also delivered her 37 lb. box of sewing giveaways. She couldn’t believe she won.

Last week I was in Merrillville IN for a Bernina event. Clovis, a SCHMETZ Snippet FBLive fan, came up and introduced herself. We hugged because we are sewing friends that met for the first time. From FBLive, I even remembered Clovis’ last name. Find a pic of Clovis and me over on my personal blog:

AN EXPLORATORY HANDS-ON CLASS

AFTERNOON CLASS // 2-5 PM

Stitch exercises demonstrate how sewing machine needles, thread, technique, and you, the sewist, control stitch quality. Experience stitching with a variety of fabrics and needles, along with a few surprises. Gain respect for the needle and elevate confidence in your needle selection. This is a fun, educational class.

This Cuddle custom-designed appliquéd blanket and (Funky Friends pattern) stuffed otter were made with love using a SCHMETZ 90/14 Stretch Needle and a SCHMETZ 90/14 Embroidery Needle.

Our house is small, so I have taken over the breakfast nook with my sewing machines, much to my husband’s chagrin. Our guest room is now my fabric library.
