Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ:

Where has the summer gone? Our students return to school for the new academic year on Monday. LAUSD began last week and many Catholic high schools began earlier this week. Our Religious Education and Teen Confirmation begin soon as does the OCI for Adults and Children.

Are you or someone you know searching for a deeper connection to God and a welcoming spiritual community?

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) invites you to explore the beauty, teachings, and community of the Roman Catholic Church. Whether you know someone looking to take their first steps in faith or want to help a friend find their spiritual home, our upcoming OCIA journey is open to everyone.

Who is OCIA For?

The Unbaptized: Anyone seeking to discover faith in Jesus Christ and receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion.

Christians from Other Traditions: Baptized Christians looking to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church.

Returning Catholics: Adults baptized Catholic who never received the Sacraments of First Communion or Confirmation.

Faith is a journey always shared with others. We ask all parishioners to pray for this ministry and actively invite family members, friends, neighbors, or coworkers who have expressed interest in the Catholic faith. Your simple invitation could be the spark that changes someone's life. Please refer those who may want to explore or contact Father Mark.

We also share our faith in helping others. A special thanks for all who donated the Habitat for Humanity Re-Build of the Palisades and Malibu event in September. We also need a team of 10 people to work onsite on Saturday, September 26th. Click here to register or contact Rick Bisetti at habitat@sp-apostle.org.

Peace and blessings,

Father Gil
