Welcome back!

The SCICU Newsletter is back after summer hiatus, just as thousands of students are returning to the campuses of the SCICU member institutions.
Remembering Jeff Barker, Converse University's 11th president
Converse President Jeffrey H. Barker died July 21. He was the university's 11th president.

Dr. Boone Hopkins was named interim president and will continue the legacy established by Dr. Barker's two decades of leadership at Converse.
SCICU welcomes Bob Jones University!

All elibible independent colleges and universities headquartered in South Carolina are now approved for membership in SCICU.
Bob Jones University will become an SCICU member institution on August 31. Please click here to read the SCICU news release.
SCICU distributing CIC/UPS scholarships

SCICU is distributing $64,000 in CIC/UPS scholarships to students at SCICU member colleges and universities. These scholarships support low-income and many first generation students.
