SCICU celebrates return to in-person board events with Spring 2022 board meeting at Bob Jones University
Sixteen college/university presidents kicked off SCICU's Spring 2022 board meeting with their semi-annual Council of College Presidents Breakfast held March 10 at Bob Jones University.

CIC Capacity-Building Grant funds SCICU Trustee Appreciation Reception
SCICU President and CEO Jeff Perez welcomed nearly 40 presidents, trustees, and guests to the March 9 Trustee Appreciation Reception. The event was funded by a capacity-building grant from the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).

On March 10 SCICU held its first in-person board meeting in two years, and it was a great success. Whie virtual meetings may be convenient, I believe being physically together makes for a more productive and rewarding meeting.

Let me give you three reasons why.


SCICU and S.C. Commission on Higher Education to combine forces and host joint Higher Education Day at the S.C. State House April 6.
With the S.C. Senate and House considering another state budget with historic increases in need-based aid for South Carolina resident students, SCICU and the S.C. Commission on Higher Education will combine forces to say thanks to General Assembly members in a historic joint Higher Education Day at the S.C. State House on April 6.

SCICU to honor 21 Excellence In Teaching award winners at April awards dinner in Columbia
After two years of COVID-related virtual celebrations, SCICU’s annual Excellence In Teaching Awards Program will return to an in-person awards dinner on April 5 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
