Principal's Coffee Fast Pass
We would like to extend an invitation to family and friends who wish to attend the Principal's Coffee on October 12th at 9:00am. We will follow our standard daily procedure by requiring visitors to sign in with the front office by showing their driver's license. After your license has been scanned into our system once, you will be able to make an advance request for a "fast pass".  You are welcome to bring your license to have it scanned before the day of the event to enable us to print a fast pass. All fast pass requests must be received by 10:00 am on the day prior to the event. If you have not previously signed in on campus or if you do not request a fast pass, you will need to arrive early, as check-in lines can be lengthy. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we make the safety and security of the students our priority.  Fast Pass Request

SCIS DADS ON CAMPUS
Hey Sloan Creek Dads!
Dads on Campus is a program designed to get dads more involved on the Sloan Creek campus.  Our students love having dads visible and helping throughout the building.  This program is very flexible so you can participate in whatever way works for you.  Dads can choose from a menu of different activities around the school or follow their own student's schedule.  If possible we ask that you complete the online form at least 48 hours in advance so we can be prepared for your visit.  Be sure to complete the LISD  volunteer background check, then fill out the  Google form and show up on your chosen day.  Sign in at the front desk and Mandi or Lisa will get you started.
If you have any questions please contact Kristin Murray

SCIS PTA
2018-2019 SCIS PTA Reflections Art Contest
Heroes don't always wear capes! The National PTA Reflections program encourages students of all ages and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Through the program, National PTA, Lovejoy Local and Council PTAs, urge students in preschool through grade 12 to create and submit original works.

This year's contest theme is "Heroes Around Me." We hope all Leopards will submit an entry in one or more of the following categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, & Visual Arts- reflecting on this year's contest theme. There is a special artist division option for students with disabilities to ensure all students have the opportunity to participate in the program. Students are recognized each year for their artistic ingenuity to bring the theme to life in a way that is personal and meaningful. Multiple entries are welcome.

Entry forms & official rules are available in the SCIS front office as well as online at: www.txpta.org/reflections-participation. Please place all entries in the box labeled "Reflections Entries" located in the SCIS front office. All entries are due by Friday, November 9th at 3pm.

Senior Project Raised Funds for Autism
Zachary Taylor, a senior at Lovejoy High School, thanks the Lovejoy community for their support of his Senior Project:

"Hello! I would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who bought a ribbon or two at Leopard Friday and to those who donated online for the Autism Walk this past weekend.  We had a great turnout and the weather was perfect during the walk.  We finished just in time before the rain started to come down on us.  Not only did I meet my goal of raising $500 toward the walk, the donation total was over $700. If you would still like to donate, the deadline is October 29. The combined donations from the ribbons sale and the walk was over $850.  We had a fun time walking for such a great cause. Thank you everyone for your love and support of Autism Awareness!
