Students enjoyed an amazing presentation on the United States Antarctic Program.  Thank you, Mr. Smith for a great presentation.

When a student asks you to wear your Jordan's, you do it! Thanks, Austin!

I had such a great time visiting the Art Show on Monday.  We have some talented students.  Thank you, to Mr. Fruge for putting on a great art show.

I had to snap a picture of these sixth graders who were so happy to be finished with their STAAR Reading test.  They also had some pretty great dance moves.

Teachers will be in contact by phone and email if your child will be receiving an award. Be the Difference Awards will be given to students who have made great strides this year in becoming the best student they can be. We look forward to celebrating all of our Leopard Leaders and Be the Difference award winners during this time. Parents will be invited to attend these awards in person. Please be sure to allow time for check in at the front office.

End of Year Awards

*Parents will not be in attendance during these awards.

This year, we will not be having grade level, end of year, award assemblies. Instead, students will be given their awards in their homeroom classes. Each homeroom class will be able to celebrate the successes of one another.

During homeroom celebrations, all "A" Honor Roll and All "A/B" Honor roll will be given to students receiving this honor. A snapshot of grades will be taken on May 2nd. This will determine "A" and "A/B" honor roll. Please note that we will not be awarding "A/B average" awards. Other awards, such as club certificates, and Lighthouse Leaders will be given at this time. We hope this is a great time of celebration between students and teachers.

While we love to have our families come to the school to celebrate their students, we would like to reserve our Leopard Leadership Awards as times for our families to attend in person. We also look forward to finding more ways to have families join our building throughout the year.

Yearbooks will be sent home tomorrow, Friday May 20. They will be distributed in homeroom. If you did not purchase a yearbook we will have some for sale in the office beginning Monday, May 23 at 7:15. The cost is $30.00 exact cash or check please. NEW!!! School Supplies

We are very excited to announce SCIS has partnered with EPI to offer prepackaged school supply packs. We are finalizing the details and will provide a code and link to order as soon as we have it. Families are not required to purchase the prepacked supplies, however, we had several inquiries and decided to offer this as an option. We will link the school supply list when we get the EPI code. Please contact Jeanette Mervicker, [email protected], with any questions.
