Sloan Creek parent Michelle Wilde is creating a teacher appreciation video again this year and would like to include pictures of students.
Here is what she is looking for – submit up to 2 photos per SCIS student and choose from the list below:
- Student holding sign of appreciation (“Thank you”, “We appreciate you”, “We love you”, “You rock”, “SCIS teachers are the best”, “We appreciate the custodial team”, “Sending hugs to you”, “Thank you bus drivers”, etc)
- Student gesturing heart symbol with their fingers
- Student posing with a heart made out of something (Example: arrange rocks in shape of heart or legos, jenga blocks, etc)
Please email your photos to: [email protected]. Deadline for submission is: Sun 4/11 at 5pm
Ensure photos meet these guidelines so they are of good quality for a video:
· Taken in landscape (horizontal)
· Good lighting indoors or taken outside (not in direct sunlight)
· Neutral, non-distracting background
· Not blurry or grainy
· Can clearly see student’s face and sign is legible or heart gesture is prominent
Mrs. Wilde will make every effort to use as many photos as possible but please understand that depending on the number of photos received, all photos submitted may not appear in the video.

5th Grade - Growth and Development Video
Dear 5th grade Parents/Guardians:
As part of the health curriculum, we will provide a link to the Always Changing film on Human Growth and Development. Due to social distancing requirements, we will not be showing the puberty videos at school.
As the parent/guardian, you have the most important role in teaching your child about their growth and development. We encourage you to preview the video and learn more about how to talk to your child. https://www.pgschoolprograms.com/Parents Scroll down to view the Always Changing-Boys or Always Changing-Girls (not the original version). Once you have viewed it you can watch it with your child. Please take this opportunity to talk openly with your child.
Sincerely,
Michelle Countryman
SCIS Nurse

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)
Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
