Bright Spot Nominations:
Each week we will host a spot in this weekly newsletter where you can nominate anyone in our SCIS family for a "Bright Spot" award. We will print your "shout out" about your own child, your neighbors, and/or your child's teachers right here! Nominate anyone in the SCIS community who deserves a pat on the back! You can choose to sign you name, or it can be a anonymous positive note!

PTA: The Marigold-First day back F2F was great, nerve wracking, awesome, stressful and unlike anything I’ve done in all my years of teaching. Lunch rolled around and I realized I had forgotten mine in all the excitement. Thank goodness our incredible PTA never forgets us! I really appreciate all the time and effort you volunteer to make SCIS a great place to learn and work. Thanks, PTA!

A-Team: Tackle the Challenge: Thank you for ALL the work that was put into lunch. Creating the spreadsheet alone was enough to send most people into cardiac arrest, but you all made it happen with grace and patience for all.
PTA: The Marigold-Thank you for the Jason's Deli lunch, super sweet posters, and buttons on the first day back. You are always taking such good care of SCIS staff and we are SO grateful.
Lara Underwood: Cognitive Demand-Thank you for troubleshooting the transfer bus so quickly and efficiently after one day.
Heather Longfellow: Tackle the Challenge: Thank you for your tireless efforts to meet the social, emotional , and educational needs of all of your students. Your heart and your skill are very appreciated!
Kara Favara: Leadership-Kara, You are are so resourceful and efficient in the systems and processes you put in place to monitor progress and meet individual student needs, and you are always willing to take the time to share your ideas and resources with those around you. Kyle Nelson: Cognitive Demand-You truly have a gift for building confidence in students that didn't think they were "good at math". Thank you for so naturally building a growth mindset in your students and ensuring they have the tools they need to be successful.
