Systemwide Contracts Now Featured on Website

Systemwide contracts are a key piece of purchasing power for UCSF. The University of California Office of the President (UCOP) administers several systemwide contracts that offer attractive pricing and terms for UCSF purchasers. These contracts cover many supplier offerings, from professional services to lab supplies. UCOP negotiates and posts contracts in their database, and UCSF updates supplier profiles in BearBuy. The database can be searched by types of goods/services and supplier name.

To provide shoppers with an easy to search resource for all systemwide contracts, we’ve made a permanent link on our website directly to the UCOP database. Find the new resource at UC Systemwide Contracts.

Once you’ve identified a supplier (or a short-list of suppliers for quotes) in the UCOP database, you can initiate the purchasing process in BearBuy. For questions regarding UC systemwide contracts, please submit a ticket to the SCM Response Team.

The annual National Association of Educational Procurement conference was held in Pheonix last month. The event focused on the latest news and innovation in the university procurement space. Two of our UCSF experts recounted their ground-breaking tactics in support of university purchasing. Read more at SCM Makes a Splash at NAEP.

Supplier Diversity and Inclusion…And Sustainability

The October Lab Resource Group Vendor Showcase at the Mission Bay campus was a succes. Marliz Copado, our small business and green spend champion, used the event to highlight our commitment to sustainability. Many small businesses offer dynamic services, quality goods, and support initiatives like sustainability and waste reduction. Every purchasing decision you make can help UCSF become more connected with our community, grow our small business supplier base, and reduce waste.
