Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Virtual Symposium last Friday and Saturday. As a reminder, recordings are available for one more week, until December 15th. With that behind us, we're swiftly moving to send out the accept/decline notices. We're working as hard and as fast as we can to release them by next week (Dec 11-15).
We know members are excited to receive the notices and begin looking forward to the conference. A great deal of information goes out with the notices such as: hotel and travel information, conference registration details, dependent care subsidies, travel grants, call for volunteers to chair a panel, forms for affiliate events/receptions, visa information, sign-up forms for small meetings, conference schedule correction forms, and more. We appreciate your patience as we complete this stage of conference programming and preparations.
We also recognize members may need to meet institutional funding deadlines and visa requests. In these cases, SCMS can provide a letter of support. Please reach out to the Home Office if you are in need of any assistance before the acceptance notices are sent.
To ensure effective communication, we kindly request direct contact rather than relying solely on social media engagement for feedback. Directly communicating with our members is incredibly valuable to our small staff and helps us immensely. Your understanding and patience are truly valued, and we always welcome any inquiries or concerns you may have.
