| | Celebrating Academic Excellence | a special year-end edition | | |
Dear Kings Families,
As we approach the end of another remarkable school year, it is with immense pride that I dedicate this final edition of "Scoop from the Supe" to our extraordinary Class of 2025. These remarkable young adults have been part of our district family for the past 13 years, and their journey with us has been nothing short of inspiring.
A LEGACY OF ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
Our graduating seniors exemplify the district's unwavering commitment to academic excellence. Throughout their educational journey, we have maintained an intense focus on academic growth while equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive world. Whether they choose to enroll in higher education, enlist in the military, or enter directly into the workforce, our graduates leave our district prepared to excel.
The Class of 2025 has embraced rigorous coursework, participated in innovative programs, and demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination. Their academic accomplishments reflect not only their personal dedication, but also the supportive educational environment we've collectively created.
The statistics below offer a glimpse into the impressive achievements of our graduating class:
| | KINGS FORMULA FOR SUCCESS | | |
The extraordinary achievements of our Class of 2025 didn't happen by chance. They are the result of a powerful formula for success:
Amazing Staff: Our dedicated educators go above and beyond every day, bringing passion, expertise, and innovation to the classroom. This year, our teachers completed many hours of professional development, implementing research-based strategies and personalized approaches that inspire excellence. Their commitment extends beyond academics — serving as mentors, coaches, and champions for every student's potential.
Super Supportive Families: The partnership between home and school creates the foundation for student achievement. Our families volunteered extensively this year, participated in school events, and maintained active communication with teachers, directors, and coaches. This unwavering support reinforces the value of education and provides students with the stability they need to thrive.
Incredible Students: Our graduating seniors have demonstrated remarkable determination, curiosity, and character throughout their educational journey. They've embraced challenges, persevered through difficulties, and supported one another along the way. Their diverse talents and unique perspectives have enriched our school community and prepared them to make meaningful contributions to the world.
When these three essential elements come together—dedicated educators, engaged families, and motivated students—the result is graduates who are exceptionally well-prepared for whatever future they choose.
This winning formula hasn't just prepared our students academically—it has equipped them with the confidence, character, and capabilities to succeed in an ever-changing world.
| | POWER 5 FUTURE SKILLS:
KINGS COMPETETIVE ADVANTAGE | | |
At Kings Local Schools, we believe in preparing students not just to compete but to excel. Our curriculum and programming are intentionally designed around our Power 5 Future Skills framework:
-
Communication: Our graduates have developed advanced skills in written, verbal, and digital communication through debate programs, public speaking opportunities, and multimedia projects. They articulate ideas clearly and confidently in any setting.
-
Collaboration: Through collaborative learning experiences, cross-curricular projects, and community partnerships, our students have mastered the art of productive teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal effectiveness.
-
Critical Thinking: Graduates demonstrate sophisticated analytical abilities, evaluating complex information, questioning assumptions, and forming well-reasoned conclusions—skills honed through inquiry-based learning and challenging academic coursework.
-
Problem Solving: Our students approach challenges with creativity and resourcefulness, applying design thinking principles and innovative approaches to develop effective solutions to real-world problems.
-
Career Readiness: Beyond academic knowledge, seniors have developed professional skills, workplace etiquette, and industry-specific competencies through internships, job shadowing, and career-focused learning experiences.
This comprehensive focus on the Power 5 Future Skills ensures our graduates stand out among their peers, regardless of their chosen path—college, military service, or direct entry into the workforce.

As we celebrate the Class of 2025, we also look ahead to continuing our tradition of academic excellence. The success of our graduates reinforces our district's strategic focus on providing rigorous academic preparation alongside practical skills development.
In the coming school year, we're excited to pursue several new and expanded initiatives:
-
Expanded Internship Programs: Increasing the number of available internship placements through new partnerships with local businesses and organizations across diverse industries.
-
Growing Community Partnerships: Growing our Career Services and connecting students with professionals for job shadowing, career counseling, and project-based learning opportunities.
-
Investigating Student-Run Business Ventures: Begin building and developing on-campus, student-managed enterprises that may include coffee shop, broadcast media, technology repair service, print studio, and school spirit merchandise store.
These initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to providing education that is both academically rigorous and directly relevant to students' future success. By expanding experiential learning opportunities and authentic workplace experiences, we continue to enhance our graduates' competitive advantage.

To our graduating seniors: Your accomplishments make our entire community proud. You have set a high bar for future classes and demonstrated the power of dedication, hard work, and perseverance.
To our district families: Thank you for your partnership in education. These achievements are possible because of your support and engagement.
As we close this school year, I invite everyone to join us for the Kings High School Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 18, at 4:30 p.m. at Xavier University Cintas Center to celebrate this remarkable class and their bright futures.
