MATTY LAYMAN
SCOPE Benefit Chair
|
If anyone truly understands the value of camp it's Matty Layman. He started his camp journey at age 6 at Camp IHC and has since spent over 30 summers at his IHC home, from his camper summers all the way through to today, as Head Counselor. As an active SCOPE enthusiast, Matty has raised awareness and campership support for dozens of SCOPE campers and counting. As the 2018 SCOPE Leadership Award recipient and 2019-2021 SCOPE Benefit Co-Chair, Matty has volunteered his efforts, leveraged his networks and empowered individuals and communities to bring SCOPE into their lives and help pay camp forward. We're so grateful for all Matty has done for camp and for SCOPE over the years and look forward to celebrating SCOPE together for years to come!

SOUTHEAST JUNIOR LEADERSHIP COUNCIL
The growing support for SCOPE by teens and camp enthusiasts across the Southeast is exhilarating! The efforts to expand our work in the South includes both individual initiatives and newly formed SCOPE clubs. JLC members have expanded our SCOPE clubs to include North Broward Prepatory School and Spanish River High School! They have already led outdoor yoga classes, March Madness initiatives, and a Mabel's Labels Shop4SCOPE fundraiser. Teens make philanthropic strides, raising awareness and money for SCOPE while also receiving community service credit. We appreciate our Southeast JLC members for their hard work, creative efforts, and desire to make camp accessible for other children in the Southeast!

HOLMES CAMP AND RETREAT CENTER, NEW YORK
SCOPE Northeast
|
Holmes Camp and Retreat Center recognizes that camp makes an essential difference in the life of a child. Campers learn new skills, develop new relationships, increase their self-confidence, and are exposed to new ideas and activities. At Holmes, campers are encouraged to explore and develop their authentic, spiritual self. Because Holmes' strives to make this experience accessible to as many children as possible, they offer a three-tiered pricing structure, encouraging families to pay what they can afford given their own circumstances.
