Distribution: Engage Facilitators and Training Coordinators, Chapter Leadership
If you are receiving this email, you are either a chapter leader or have been designated as an Engage Facilitator and/or an Engage Training Coordinator for your chapter.

As chapters continue to prepare for SCORE Engage, please note that there are tasks that each chapter must complete prior to going live.  The full Engage Chapter Roll-Out Orientation can be found on the Support Center.

We have consolidated these items in to the Chapter Readiness Checklist, the purpose of which is to ensure that each chapter is efficiently prepared to transition to SCORE Engage. All tasks should be completed 1 month prior to your roll-on date. You will be given more information and access to your chapter's readiness checklist during the Roll-out Orientation session for your chapter (to be delivered by SCORE HQ approximately 5 months prior to your roll-on date).

However, there is no need to wait to begin executing these tasks. We encourage you to be proactive in preparing for the new system. The first task you must complete is outlined below.

Establish that all chapter member statuses are correct in CORE . This is something that chapter leadership, or another designated member, should check on a regular, recurring basis between now and your chapter's transition date. This is information that will be imported from CORE into SCORE Engage and we want to make certain that we are bringing over the most updated and accurate data.

When applying these statuses, please refer to the definitions below.
  • Active: A fully trained volunteer in good standing.
  • Inactive: A volunteer who cannot, for any reason, actively serve in the Chapter (sickness, lengthy vacation, etc.). Cannot be in Inactive status more than 90 days.
  • Provisional: A volunteer who has been accepted as a provisional member and has not yet completed required training. Must complete all onboarding requirements in no more than 120 days.
  • Emeritus: A tenured volunteer that can still interact socially with the Chapter but does not serve clients. Chapters should review these volunteers on an annual basis and update the status as needed.
  • Dropped: A volunteer who has left SCORE. This can be self-initiated, after a period of disengagement or terminated for cause. They are unable to login into CORE and their SVO email is deactivated.
  • Deceased: A volunteer that has passed away.
