Dear Library Community,

The Spencer County Public Library is committed to serving its patrons and the community in a safe manner. Our buildings will remain open to the public as long as we can safely do so. If you feel uneasy about coming into an SCPL location, here are a few services you can access while maintaining your distance:

Curbside Pickup is available during any open hours. You may contact any library location during open hours at 812-649-4866 by selecting your desired branch from the menu. Patrons may also request items through this email address: scplcurbside@gmail.com. Please include your full name, phone number and library card number, and give staff ample time to gather your materials. You will be contacted when the items are ready for pickup. Patrons are limited to 8 books and 8 DVDs per library card per pick up.

Access digital comics and graphic novels.

Acorn TV
Enjoy world-class mysteries, dramas, and comedies from Britain and beyond, on any web-connected device.

Enjoy 8000+ movies and classic TV shows.

Stream interactive, live video courses and thousands of recorded courses on health and wellness, spirituality, personal development, and more.

This past year has been a challenge for many so let's have some fun! Each month SCPL will feature a new puzzle challenge. For this month's challenge, download or pickup a puzzle sheet at any branch and solve as many of the puzzles as you can. Return your sheets by email or drop them off at any SCPL location. Each person who solves the puzzle correctly will be entered into a drawing for a $10 local gift card.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Join SCPL's 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program to help your child be ready for kindergarten. This program promotes reading to newborns, infants, and toddlers and encourages parent and child bonding through reading. The goal of the program is to establish strong early literacy skills that will allow children to gain the confidence to become strong readers.
