Greetings! SCRA’s COVID page has now been expanded to multiple pages, dividing subjects into smaller pages to help you find needed resources easily and rapidly. We also continue to grow the sections. Please check back often and share the information with others.

Competition, co-sponsored by SCRA, is for students’ ideas that address the most pressing technical, social, and financial issues caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Up to $9,000 prize money (up to $1,000 per winning individual or team). Open to all currently enrolled undergrad and grad students on all UofSC campuses.

Entries are due THIS Sun, April 19, 11 pm.
UofSC’s Darla Moore School of Business will be holding its 11th annual Proving Ground pitch competition online. A first-place prize of $17,500 in two categories is up for grabs THIS Tues, April 21 on Facebook Live at 5 pm.

The two innovations with the highest initial scores in each category that did not make the finals will face off in the SCRA/Fluor Fan Favorite Track, competing for a first-place prize of $6,000 determined by an audience vote.
The SC Medical Device Alliance has released a new Request for Proposal for Medical Device Alliance Patent Landscape Reports. RFP is soliciting fixed price bids for professional consulting services to develop patent landscape reports for eight early-stage medical devices,
as well as one FTO search. Proposals are due by 5 pm on Fri, May 1. Read RFP 
Clemson University will be launching its MS in Computer Science program in Greenville this coming Fall at the CU-ICAR campus. This graduate program mirrors the program currently offered on Clemson’s main campus in requirements and expectations, but was developed to meet the needs of working professionals. Elastrin Therapeutics, has demonstrated proof-of-concept for a patented therapeutic compound that may provide needed repair and restorative function to lungs that have
been damaged by the COVID-19 virus.
SC Launch, Inc. Portfolio Company, Extremiti3D, assisted Essentium, Inc. in delivering 80 3D printed reusable masks to the City of Pflugerville, TX public works department. Many of their employees are considered essential and continue to work.
