SCRA announced the recent acceptance of six Client Companies into SC Launch. Client Companies  are provided mentoring and grants and may be eligible for investments from SC Launch, Inc.   Meet the new companies
SCRA announced the formation of three Business and Science Advisory Boards with the purpose of advising SCRA’s Board of Trustees upon request. The boards include representatives from South Carolina research universities, the venture capital/angel investment community, South Carolina Department of Commerce, and industry leaders in the following areas: Biomedical Sciences , Cybersecurity and Industry 4.0 .
SCRA has allocated substantial additional funding in grants and investments with a particular focus on current Client Companies to assist them in navigating through these unprecedented times. Your contribution to the IPF is vital to help make possible the survival of early-stage companies.
The SC Medical Device Alliance has an RFP for Medical Device Alliance Patent Landscape Reports, soliciting fixed price bids for professional consulting services to develop patent landscape reports for eight early-stage medical devices, as well as one FTO search. Proposals are due by 5 pm on Fri, May 1.

Elastrin Therapeutics, has demonstrated proof-of-concept for a patented therapeutic compound that may provide needed repair and restorative function to lungs that have
been damaged by the COVID-19 virus.
SC Launch, Inc. Portfolio Company, Extremiti3D, assisted Essentium, Inc. in delivering 80 3D printed reusable masks to the City of Pflugerville, TX Public Works Department. Many of their employees are considered essential and continue to work.
Columbia Regional Business Report now accepting nominations for women who excel in their professional careers and in community involvement to be considered for 2020 Women of Influence. Nominations encouraged of women of all ages and career stages. Honorees will be recognized at a celebratory luncheon on July 22. Deadline: May 8, 5 pm.
Clemson University will be launching a new
