SCRA Black History Month Spotlight
Meet Harold Singletary!

SCRA is celebrating Blacks making history during Black History Month, and beyond. Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Harold Singletary and the company he founded. SCRA Member Company, BrightMa Farms, is an agriculture and technology ‘ag-tech’ company that is working to empower hemp famers with the best agricultural practices that standardize operations and transfer them precisely for scale cultivation in the hemp fiber and grain market.

BrightMa Farms strives to raise the standards of the hemp industry and facilitate much-needed education and awareness around hemp-derived products. This transformative model is based on the principles of integrity, transparency, compliance, and social & environmental sustainability

BrightMa Farms is expanding the ag-tech industry by leading several educational initiatives including its work with 1890 Research & Extensions to transform the nation’s talent pipeline and workforce from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. BrightMa Farms is also partnering with Clemson University and S.C. corporations on a ten million-dollar USDA grant application to incorporate hemp fiber into raw materials for the automotive industry.

Harold Singletary was recently a guest on the South Carolina Business Review Radio Show. Read more.
