SCRA named to 2020 Best Places to Work in South Carolina
The SCRA has been named to the 2020 Best Places to Work in South Carolina by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. The 74 companies were chosen in partnership with the publishers of SC Biz News and the Best Companies Group for the 15th consecutive year. Rankings will be revealed during an online ceremony on August 21. Read more.
2021 PGA Championship Seeks Diverse Local Companies to be Vendors
Locally owned and minority-owned companies can apply to provide services at the 2021 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island Golf Resort through the  PGA VendorMatch  program. The program will give locally owned businesses the opportunity to potentially interview with larger, direct vendors for work during the PGA Championship. Read more.

Congress considers easy forgiveness for coronavirus loans. Congress is considering a simplified process for forgiveness of Paycheck Protection Program loans, especially smaller loans. Across SC, 63,000 businesses received federally backed loans under a quickly passed relief package that made low-interest loans available for businesses to keep employees at home but still on the payroll. Mask Up campaign aimed at reaching young adults. A new statewide campaign is encouraging youth and young adults to embrace wearing a face covering to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control’s “Mask Up” initiative is aimed at two age groups that make up a combined 33% of confirmed COVID-19 cases in SC. Read more.

The interactive map shows the risk level of attending an event, given the event size and location (assuming 10:1 ascertainment bias). The risk level is the estimated chance (0-100%) that at least 1 COVID-19 positive individual will be present at an event in a county, given the size of the event. Try the tool.
