SC EPSCoR Conference Announced
The 2021 SC EPSCoR State Conference will be held on July 23rd from 9am to 4pm in an all virtual format. The one-day conference is open to faculty, postdocs, Ph.D. students, master degree-seeking students, undergraduate students, and industry or organizational representatives that are interested in STEM research. Aptus Life Receives $25,000 from the Emerson Rose Heart Foundation
Aptus Life, LLC, an SCRA Member Company, announced that it secured a $25,000 grant from the Emerson Rose Heart Foundation (ERHF) of Clemson, SC. Aptus Life’s objective is to develop a replacement heart valve for infants, children, and young adults that would last their entire lifetime without the need for blood thinning medication or additional valve replacement procedures. This aligns with ERHF’s mission “to change the future for those affected by congenital heart defects by providing support to families in need, advancing patient care and medical research, and increasing awareness about the most common birth defect in the world.” Read more.
