SCRA Announces Investment in Hank AI
SCRA announces its affiliate, SC Launch, Inc.’s, investment of $200,000 to Hank AI. The Columbia-based company is a leader in medical coding and compliance automation.

Hank AI became an SC Launch Member Company in 2019 and successfully progressed through the program, receiving an Acceleration Grant and eventually becoming an SC Launch, Inc. Portfolio Company by receiving this investment. Read more.
SCRA Companies win InnoVision Awards
The final InnoVision Awards Celebration was held on November 17. After a record-breaking number of entries, a rigorous judging process, and four weeks of Meet the Finalists virtual receptions, InnoVision revealed the winners, which included two SCRA companies. tForm, Inc., an SC Launch Portfolio Company won the Sustainability Award. Blue Eye Soft Corp., an SC Launch Member Company won the Covid-19 Response – Technology Deployment award. Watch the celebration.

The MUSC Foundation for Research Development recently held its Annual NAI Induction Ceremony and Annual Innovator of the Year Reception. During the event, MUSC recognized the individuals who were inducted into the MUSC Chapter of the National Academy of Inventors or who have previously been inducted into MUSC's Chapter of NAI. Many of these individuals own SCRA Member Companies or have received grants, and are listed below.

Who: SC Higher Education Institutions
When: November 1st to April 30th, 2021
Amount: Up to $15,000, with a maximum of $30,000 per institution
Why: To expand the impact of institutional funds directly invested in the maturation of a technology or the development of prototypes based on intellectual property owned by the institution. Learn more and apply.
